Volkl AeroLite

The Volkl AeroLite is a remarkable departure from the other Volkl models of this time.  This model appears to be an answer to the burgeoning introduction of “wide body” racquets from other brands.

The AeroLite continues with some Volkl performance and comfort designs such as the Big Grommet system and multi-component grip systems.  The AreoLite does, however, feature a variable beam ranging from 1.03 (26.16mm) at the tip to .860 (21.84mm) at the throat and 1.125 (28.57mm) at the top of the grip.

The Big Grommet system increases the effective hitting area from 101.5 square inches (654.6 square cm) to 109.3 square inches (705.2 square cm).  Brilliant!

I believe this model was the precursor to the very, very popular Volkl Classic racquet!
