The Wilson Hammer Tour apparently slipped through the cracks as it applies to tennis racquets! I had completely forgotten this racquet until I came across it today. Visually there seems to be nothing outstanding about this racquet although the graphic is designed to show off the Carbon Matrix internal construction.
I think this was one a very few “players” racquets that had a weight distribution this close to “even”. You will notice, maybe, the grip shape is not standard. I modified the shape of this grip to form to the bend of the hand. This modification may have kept this racquet from being a real “hammer” style, i.e. head heavy.
This racquet was strung several years ago so don’t get excited about the low string bed stiffness numbers.
